Staring January 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) can conduct Occupation In-Demand Express Entry draws.
While IRCC has not indicated which occupations are in demand, the draws will allow IRCC to better respond to Canada's labour market and demographic needs.
Most provinces have provincial nomination programs geared for their specific labour demand needs. We have reviewed all these in-demand streams and listed the occupations in demand in Canada for those provinces per their provincial government website.
If your occupation is listed, it does not mean that you stand a definite chance of being nominated by a province or selected in the Express Entry. It does, however, increase your chances. You need to ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for the program or stream as well. Note that occupations listed as TEER 4 or 5 are not eligible for Express Entry. You can verify your NOC's TEER category here:
Some of the lists are lengthy, be sure to thoroughly scan them for your occupation.
The list of occupations can change at any given time.
